Electrochemical Detection Technique, Dry Reagent Strip Technology Based on the Glucose Dehydrogenase Method; Abbott PXP
Specimen Requirement
A drop of capillary whole blood is typically the specimen of choice, however, whole blood obtained from an “A” line may be used.
Additional Specimen Collection Information
Procedure is performed by nursing personnel at the hospital bedside or in the physician office.
Performance
Testing is performed Monday through Sunday.

<1 Month (Newborn): 50-99 mg/dL
1 Month-Adult: 70-99 mg/dL
