Test Code COV2AB SARS-CoV-2 Antibody, IgG

Important Note

For use under FDA Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) only.

  • Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been in contact with the virus. Testing with a molecular diagnostic should be considered to evaluate for active infection in these individuals.
  • Results from antibody testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection or to inform infection status.
  • Cross-reactivity with antibodies to non-SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strains (HKU1, NL63, OC43 and 229E) have not been evaluated by this assay.
  • Not for the screening of donated blood.
  • It is uncertain at this time if positive serology implies long term immunity.
