Specimen Requirement
Cervical specimens collected in a BD SurePath Vial using an endocervical brush/spatula or broom device.
Additional Specimen Collection Information
All specimens for Cytology must be properly labeled with patient name, identification number, date and time collected and the type of specimen. Submit with the proper requisition.
Gynecological specimen collected using the Cervex Broom inserted into a SurePath Pap specimen transport media. The specimen is stable for 3 weeks at room temperature (15-30°C).
Specimen source, collection date, and patient identifiers are required.
