Reference Value
ANA Screen: Negative
A negative ANA result reflects antibodies absent or below the
cut-off values for the following analytes: dsDNA, Chromatin,
Ribosomal P, SS-A 60, SS-A 52, SS-B, Sm, SmRNP, RNP A, RNP 68,
Scl-70, Jo-1, and Centromere B.
Antinuclear antibody will reflex to the individual antibodies listed when positive. Individual antibody tests may be ordered separately as appropriate. Possible reflex tests include:
Double Stranded DNA
Chromatin Antibody
Ribosomal P Antibody
SS-A (Ro) Antibody
SS-B (La) Antibody
Sm Antibody
SmRNP Antibody
RNP Antibody
Centromere Antibody
Scl-70 Antibody
Jo-1 Antibody
CPT Code Information

86225-dsDNA Antibody
86235-Chromatin Antibody
83516-Ribosomal P Antibody
86235x5-SSA,SSB,Sm,SmRNP,RNP Antibodies
83516x3-Centromere B,SCL-70,Jo-1 Antibodies
Useful For
The ANA Screen detects the presence of clinically relevant circulating autoantibodies in serum and plasma. These autoantibodies may be useful as an aid in the diagnosis of systemic autoimmune diseases such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD), Sjögren’s Syndrome (SS), Scleroderma (Systemic Sclerosis), Dermatomyositis, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), CREST Syndrome, and Raynaud’s Phenomenon.
